Strengthening Waste Management through Local Planning and Regulation in Kavajë
Milieukontakt Albania officially launches the project “Strengthening Waste Management through Local Planning and Regulation in Kavajë,” in cooperation with Municipality of Kavajë!
This project aims to improve waste management in the Municipality of Kavajë by addressing environmental challenges and the community’s needs for a cleaner and more sustainable city.
The project will focus on:
- Drafting the Integrated Waste Management Plan for the Municipality of Kavajë
- Public consultations and community engagement
- Drafting and approving Waste Management Regulation
- Training local staff and municipal council members
- Environmental awareness campaign
- Final conference and delivery of strategic documents
Through this cooperation, the project seeks to build a more efficient and sustainable waste management system, with the active involvement of the community and local institutions.
Implementation period: May 2026 – February 2027
The Regional Programme on Local Democracy in the Western Balkans 3 – ReLOaD3 is funded by the European Union and implemented by the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP).
